Air France and Saudia extend strategic agreement

Air France and fellow Skyteam member Saudia have agreed to extend their existing codeshare agreement beyond the current routes between Paris Charles de Gaulle, Riyadh and Jeddah.
Effective immediately, Air France customers can travel to Abha, Dammam, Gizan, Hail and Jeddah, on flights operated by Saudia.
Similarly, Saudia customers can fly to Copenhagen, Dublin, Munich, Nice and Zurich on flights operated by Air France, via its Paris CDG hub.

How weird from Air France to jeopardise its reputation with Saudia, an airline with no decent business class seats (cradle) and no alcohol served (France being the country of wine!).

I wouldn't fly Saudia if you paid me. A very strange move by AF - could it be that the Saudis are bankrolling AF/klm which lost over £1billion in the first half of 2013.
