Two more carriers have taken delivery of their first Boeing Dreamliner aircraft this week.
Air China has unveiled the first of 15 B787-9s, which it says it will use to “ride on the wave of fast growing international passenger traffic by expanding its international network through non-stop point-to-point services”.
The aircraft will be configured in three classes, with 30 seats in business class, 34 seats in premium economy, and 229 in economy.
The carrier is the first Chinese airline to operate the B787-9.
Meanwhile Air Austral has taken delivery of the first of two B787-8s, becoming the first French carrier to operate the Boeing Dreamliner.
The Dreamliner will be configured in two cabins, with 18 seats in Club Austral in a 2-2-2 layout, and 244 seat in economy (Loisirs class) in a 3-3-3 configuration.
The aircraft will be used to launch flights between Paris CDG and the commune of Dzaoudi, in the French overseas department of Mayotte in the Indian Ocean.
