Aeromexico has confirmed plans to operate a three times-weekly service between London Heathrow and Mexico City from December 14.
Flights will depart Mexico City on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday at 2220, arriving into Heathrow at 1500 the following day, with the return leg leaving London on Monday, Thursday and Saturday at 1725, landing back into Mexico City at 0035.
The Mexican flag carrier will operate flights out of Heathrow’s Terminal 4, where other Skyteam members are located.
Speculation had been mounting on our forum of the new route, which has now been officially confirmed by the carrier.
Aeromexico will provide competition for British Airways, which serves the route four times-weekly using B747-400, although it looks likely the Mexican carrier will operate the route with smaller B767 aircraft.
Former Oneworld member Mexicana had previously operated a London Gatwick-Mexico City service, before suspending operations in 2010.
