Accor is to revive its four-star Pullman brand, and add another budget offering to its growing list of chains. The French hotel group merged its Pullman hotels into the upmarket Sofitel chain back in 1993, but has decided to relaunch the brand targeted at business travellers.

According to the Accor website the Pullman hotels will be located "in large regional and international cities close to major airports", with the first properties due to be launched in Europe before the end of the year. According to Accor, hotel rooms will include broadband internet access, webcams, LCD TV screens, and connections for mp3 players, while in reception there will be interactive check-in kiosks.

Initially Accor will rebrand selected Sofitel and Grand Mercure hotels under the new name, and the group envisages a network of 250 properties worldwide by 2015. A spokesperson for Accor said: "The Pullman name enjoys a heritage that is closely associated with travel and the new brand will target primarily business travellers. The Pullman hotels will be located in the world's major cities and will offer all the facilities required to hold large-scale seminars and international conventions."

Meanwhile Accor is to launch yet another economy brand, - All Seasons - to add to its Ibis, Etap and Formule 1 offerings. The group aims to have 10,000 All Seasons rooms by 2010, with 14 existing Accor properties already earmarked for rebranding. The brand is expected to enter the UK market in 2008.
