American Airlines is preparing to unveil its new livery and logo today, with an on-demand streaming of the event online.
Readers can watch the launch at aa.com/newamerican from 1500 GMT today (Thursday January 17).
In an email the carrier said that CEO Tom Horton will debut AA’s “new look”, adding that:
“While American Airlines completes the evaluation of whether a merger could build on its strengths, it is important that it remains steadfast in the work that has been done and continues to be done to modernise the airline.
“Today, it takes the next step in that journey by revealing its much-anticipated new logo and livery."
AA is set to launch its new B777-300ER aircraft in the coming weeks, featuring a fully-flat business class product, and a walk-up bar for premium passengers (see online news December 13, 2012).
Business Traveller will report further on the new livery and logo later this afternoon.

Really impressed by the "eagle" logo and typeface, I remain to be convinced by the tail which looks rather brutal in comparison to the softer logo.
