Members of American Airlines' AAdvantage scheme can win up to 275,000 miles by posting images of themselves dressed in Lederhosen, to celebrate the annual Oktoberfest event.

Travellers have until October 15 to submit photos of attendees at Oktoberfest or any other global tourist attraction dressed in lederhosen/other traditional German clothing, to the Leder Posin’ gallery at aa.com/milestones.

Ten finalists will be chosen after submission, each receiving 25,000 AAdvantage miles. Milestones visitors will then vote for their favorite photo, with the grand prize winner receiving an additional 250,000 miles.

All voters will also be entered into a sweepstake with the chance to win 100,000 AAdvantage miles. Voting commences on November 1 and runs until November 30.

For more information visit aa.com/milestones.
