Effective immediately, all Emirates Skywards Platinum and Gold members, regardless of their class of travel, can use free unlimited inflight wifi inflight.

Emirates Skywards members flying business and first class can also access unlimited internet.

Non-Skywards members travelling in economy will be offered 20MB of free data usage, within the first two hours of log in. This has been increased from the current 10MB free allowance that was being offered.

Wifi can be purchased in 150MB or 500MB blocks, with discounts for Skywards Silver and Blue members.

Non-Skywards members across classes can purchase 150MB data at $9.99 (₹646) and 500MB data at $15.99 (₹1,035).

Skywards Blue members in economy class can purchase 150MB data at $6.99 (₹452) and 500MB data at $10.99 (₹711).

Skywards Silver members in economy class can purchase 150MB data at $4.99 (₹323)  and 500MB data at $7.99 (₹517).

“Today, wifi services are available on over 200 of our aircraft, and it is a service that Emirates continues to subsidise heavily. Inflight wifi usage, already popular from the start, has grown tremendously. Our new inflight wifi plans reflect Emirates’ commitment to continue providing this as a free service for as many customers as possible, especially to our most frequent flyers,” says Adel Al Redha, Emirates vice president and chief operating officer.
