Lufthansa serves Mumbai daily with its Airbus A350 – 900, April 16 onwards.

Mumbai is the third destination worldwide and the second Indian destination after New Delhi, to receive the German airline’s A350-900.

Airbus A350-900 can hold up to 293 passengers, with 48 seats in business class, 21 in premium economy class and 224 in economy class. The aircraft incorporates state-of-the-art inflight entertainment, and is equipped with wifi that allows passengers to access media and browse. It consumes 25 per cent less fuel and produces 25 per cent fewer emissions.

Senior director South Asia of Lufthansa Group Airlines, Wolfgang Will states, “Maharashtra is amongst our most important markets and our relationship with the city of Mumbai has grown consistently over the years. Therefore, it is only natural that Mumbai becomes the third destination worldwide to receive the most modern and environmentally friendly aircraft, the Lufthansa Airbus A350-900”.
