Oman Air has announced plans to launch flights between Muscat and Guangzhou starting December 9.

The new route will run four-times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, served by an A330. The flights will take off from Muscat International airport at 1015, reaching Guangzhou at 2100. Flights depart Guangzhou to Muscat on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 0625 and land in Muscat at 1100.

Commenting on the new service, CEO of Oman Air Paul Gregorowitsch said:

“Guangzhou, the 54th destination on the WY network will be an added value meeting the demand of the traders and businessmen of the two countries, as well as to tradesmen from different neighbouring countries. Passengers on the new route can now enjoy their entire journey on our luxurious A330, configured with 196 economy Class seats and 30 business class seats.”

The airline recently confirmed that it will launch a daily service between Manchester and Muscat from May next year. It also plans to consolidate flights between Heathrow and Muscat from Terminals 3 and 4, into Terminal 4 from the end of January.
