Marriott International opens JW Marriott in Kolkata.

The 281-key hotel features 172 Deluxe rooms, 12 Executive suites, eight Deluxe suites and a Presidential suite. Currently, 191 rooms are operational and the remaining 90 rooms will be opened in the next phase.

There are six F&B outlets at the hotel, along with a swimming pool and a night club that are spread across this 24-storey property.

It houses a grand ballroom “Sangam” that sprawls across 1,300 sqm, four break-out rooms, and a pre-function area of 785 sqm.

JW Marriott Kolkata is jointly developed by two Indian real estate firms — Mani and Sattya. The property is managed by Marriott International.

“A JW Marriott Hotel in Kolkata marks a great milestone for Marriott International,” says Neeraj Govil, area vice-president (south Asia) at Marriott International.

This is the first Marriott-branded property of east India, the next one is coming up at Siliguri where the hotel group plans to open a 138-key Courtyard by Marriott. marriott.com
