Istanbul airport rocked by terrorist attack

29 Jun 2016 by Clement Huang
A terrorist attack last night, which saw three attackers open fire at Istanbul’s Ataturk International Airport before blowing themselves up, has claimed the lives of 36 and injured 147. While flights in and out of the airport were suspended in the hours after the attack, The Guardian has since reported that Ataturk Airport has begun operations again. TK25, a Turkish Airlines service between Taipei and Istanbul was the first flight to land at the airport, following the attack. However, it appears that most international carriers are staying away from Istanbul airport. Flights between the US and Istanbul for instance remain grounded, following orders from the US Federal Aviation Administration. ataturkairport.com Clement Huang
