Oneworld members, Qatar Airways and SriLankan Airlines have entered into a bilateral codeshare agreement with each other.

Qatar Airways passengers travelling to Colombo will be able to take an onward connection to Male, capital of luxury holiday destination, Maldives.

SriLankan Airlines passengers will be connected to leisure and business destinations in Europe, the USA, the Middle East and Africa. Cities on these continents include: Amsterdam, Barcelona, Paris, Copenhagen, Moscow, Rome, Frankfurt, Geneva, Manchester, Milan, Oslo, Sofia, Stockholm, Vienna, Zurich, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Bahrain and Cape Town.

Connecting routes through the codeshare agreement will be announced once the airlines will receive regulatory approvals.

Currently, Qatar Airways flies A340-600 thrice daily between Doha and Colombo, and SriLankan Airlines flies A330-300 daily between the capital cities.

Qatar Airways operations to India cover daily services to Doha from Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Goa, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Trivandrum, Chennai and Bengaluru, together with 11-flights-a-week from Cochin and double daily flights from Delhi.
