Accor strengthens presence in North China

1 Jun 2016 by Clement Huang
Accorhotels has opened the Novotel Daqing Haofang, its first Novotel-branded property in the city. The new hotel complements the group's other properties in Heilongjiang Province, which consists of a Sofitel and two ibis hotels in the neighbouring cities of Harbin and Qiqihar. As a prefecture-level city in the west of Heilongjiang Province, Daqing is known as the Oil Capital of China, with much of the city's economy being highly dependent on the petroleum industry. Located in the city’s East Central Business District, the hotel is a 30-minute drive from Daqing Sartu Airport and ten minutes from Daqing East Station. Nearby attractions include Daqing City Museum and Daqing Longfeng Wetlands Park. Novotel Daqing Haofang features 280 guestrooms, all with work desks, minibar and complimentary wifi.  There are two F&B outlets onsite: all-day dining at The Square or Chinese at Yue Hua. Fitness enthusiasts can make use of the gym and indoor pool, while those looking for some pampering can visit the hotel’s in-house spa and beauty salon. Finally, the property is also home to 2,150 sqm of event space. This includes a grand ballroom and seven function rooms – all equipped with audio and video technology such as LCD projector and screen.
