Hilton has added a new Google Maps service, allowing guests to view digital floor plans of hotels in relation to the property’s geographical location, when making their room choice.
The new functionality is available to Hilton Honors members via the group’s mobile app, and adds to the existing functionality allowing members to choose their room ahead of their stay.
The floor plans now include “detailed geographical information about the hotel's surroundings”, allowing members to visualise where available rooms are located in relation to “city streets, public transportation, parks, bodies of water and other markers”.
HHonors members can sign into their account to choose their room at 0600 the day before a booked stay.
The new Google Maps functionality is now available on Hilton HHonors iOS and Android apps, and will launch on Hilton brand websites from this summer.
