AirAsia carries out route rationalisation

11 May 2016 by BusinessTraveller

On June 7 Air Asia will suspend its thrice weekly flights between Kuala Lumpur and Goa as part of a route rationalisation plan.

Passengers booked on the route after June 7 will be offered full credit for another AirAsia flight within 180 days of their travel date, a full refund or a later flight date on the same route - in other words AirAsia is intending to fly the Kuala Lumpur-Goa sector again and will announce resumption dates later.

Spencer Lee, AirAsia’s head of commercial, said:

“We take very careful considerations for every new route that we introduce. However this suspension is due to our route rationalisation exercise.

"Despite this route adjustment, we remain committed to the Indian market and look forward to return to Goa in the future.”
