Cathay Pacific opens new Vancouver lounge

9 May 2016 by Clement Huang
Cathay Pacific has opened a new first and business class lounge at Vancouver International Airport. Situated in the International Terminal between departure gates D66 and D67, the facility adopts the same design template by Studioilse found in the CX lounges at Hong Kong, Manila, Bangkok, Taipei and Tokyo Haneda airports. Main seating area Measuring 510 sqm, the Vancouver lounge has seating for 108 people. The interiors benefit from cherry wood walls and limestone flooring, while the use of plants adds colour. A number of sourced artworks depict the local culture of British Columbia – aiming to evoke a more domestic atmosphere than a standard airline lounge. The Bureau  For busy business travellers, the Bureau consists of three individual workstations with iMacs and printers. Complimentary wifi is available throughout the lounge. Noodle Bar  CX’s signature Noodle Bar is available in the new lounge, and offers a selection of Chinese favourites, including wonton noodle soup, dan dan noodle soup and Hong Kong-style fish ball noodle soup. Other F&B options include The Pantry, which offers cold cuts, a selection of cheeses, salads, Western hot food, tapas, fruits and desserts. The new lounge is accessible to first and business class passengers travelling with Cathay Pacific; Silver tier or higher Marco Polo Club members; and Oneworld members with Sapphire status or above. The facility is open daily from 10.30am to 3pm and 8pm to 2am, coinciding with Cathay’s flight schedule out of Vancouver. For more information, visit cathaypacific.com Clement Huang
