Marriott International has rebranded the first property outside Canada under its newly-acquired Delta Hotels brand.
The Delta Orlando Lake Buena Vista features 241 rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre, all-day dining D-Flats restaurant, and free wifi throughout.
The property has previously operated under several brands, including Crowne Plaza and Doubletree.
Commenting on the opening DJ Rama, president of JHM Hotels (which partnered with Marriott on the new hotel) said:
“The Delta Orlando Lake Buena Vista offers state-of-the-art technology and intuitive designs to meet the needs of modern business and leisure travellers.
“It combines the benefits of an upscale family resort with a boutique feel to offer guests a unique experience.”
Marriott bought Delta Hotels – which has a portfolio of 35 four-star properties across Canada – in April 2015.
The group says it aims to increase this to 80 properties, with plans “to expand Delta’s hospitality globally to major gateway cities including New York, Shanghai and London”.
Marriott also unveiled a new streamlined logo for the Delta brand, which “reflects our promise to provide guests with a seamless travel experience so they can focus on what’s important”.
