Hilton Worldwide is to open its first Conrad property in Qatar in 2019.
The 325-room Conrad Doha will be located “in a rapidly evolving business area of the city and will be easily connected to the main C-Ring Road, which leads to the downtown area and the new Hamad International Airport”.
The hotel will offer an outdoor swimming pool, spa and fitness facilities, seven restaurants and bars, and 1,000 sqm of meeting space including a Grand Ballroom.
The Doha property will join an existing Conrad hotel in Dubai, with other Middle Eastern properties under development in Cairo, Istanbul and Makkah (the last of which is due to open this summer).
The brand has a total of 23 hotels in the pipeline worldwide, and recently debuted in India with the opening of the Conrad Pune (see news April 7).
Hilton currently operates two hotels in Qatar - the Hilton Doha, and the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Doha Old Town.
There are a further seven Hilton properties under development in the country, including AlRayyan Hotel Doha which will become part of the group’s new Curio collection when it opens in later this year, and the Hilton Garden Inn Doha C Ring Road (see news April 7).
