Qatar Airways increases flights to New York JFK

8 Apr 2016 by Clement Huang
Qatar Airways has added a second daily non-stop service between Doha and New York’s JFK airport. The new frequency features a morning arrival in Doha from the US, allowing customers to connect conveniently with other Qatar Airways flights bound for Asia or Europe. Flight QR703 departs Doha at 0225 and arrives at New York JFK at 0915. The return service on flight QR704 takes off from New York at 1115, before touching back down in Doha at 0645 the following day. The Gulf carrier has deployed one of its Airbus A350s on the daily service, meaning that it now flies the fuel-efficient aircraft to three destinations in the US: Boston, New York and Philadelphia. The A350 features a two-class configuration, with 36 seats in business and 247 in economy. The business class seats are arranged in a comfortable 1-2-1 layout, are 22 inches wide and have a 50-inch pitch. Meanwhile, economy seats are in a 3-3-3 arrangement, with 18-inch width and 31 to 32 inches of pitch. “By offering a second flight from JFK, we provide our leisure and business travellers with convenient connections, via Doha, to top destinations in Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and the Far East,” said Qatar Airways chief executive Akbar Al Baker. “In particular, business travel between New York City and Singapore on Qatar Airways is now one of our most popular routes, offering business travellers a best-in-class experience featuring the Airbus 350 – the most technologically advanced aircraft in commercial aviation flying today – on every leg of the journey.” For more information, visit qatarairways.com Clement Huang
