InterContinental Hotels Group has opened its Holiday Inn Express brand in Chennai and Delhi.
The 136-room Holiday Inn Express situated on the Old Mahabalipuram Road in Chennai offers connectivity to the city’s Special Economic Zones, IT parks and commercial centres.
In Delhi, IHG has also found a home for the Holiday Inn Express brand by rebranding India’s first airport terminal hotel as Holiday Inn Express Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal 3.
The property originally opened as an Eaton hotel (see news, March, 2011) The Eaton Smart – New Delhi Airport Transit Hotel. A rebranding took place earlier this year.
Bookings for the two new hotels are now open at an advance purchase rate starting at Rs2,975 for Holiday Inn Express Chennai Old Mahabalipuram Road and Rs8,500 for Holiday Inn Express New Delhi — International Airport Terminal 3.

IHG operates 26 properties in 14 cities in India across its InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express brands.Another 42 hotels are in the pipeline which will add a further 11 cities in India when they are open over the next five years.
