Hampton by Hilton opens in Guangzhou

Hilton Worldwide has opened a new midscale hotel in China’s Guangdong province. Hampton by Hilton Guangzhou Zhujiang New Town is located in the Tianhe District, close to business and financial hubs such as the Guangzhou International Finance Centre, Citic Plaza and Pazhou Complex. Transport links include Guangzhou East Railway Station – a 15-minute drive away, and Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, an hour away in light traffic. Positioned in the mid-tier market, the hotel represents a strategic move by Hilton to capitalise on the growing middle class market in China. The first Hampton by Hilton opened in Sanya in December 2015, with ten further openings in China expected this year, and 400 over the next decade.
