British Airways to launch Gatwick-Cape Town flights

British Airways has announced a new route from Gatwick to Cape Town, commencing November 24. The thrice weekly winter service will complement BA’s existing double daily flights from Heathrow to the South African port city. The carrier will offer a three-class B777 service on the route, with World Traveller fares starting from £795, World Traveller Plus from £1,712, and Club World from £3,924. British Airways Gatwick to Cape Town Flights will depart on Monday, Thursday and Saturday at 1800, arriving into Cape Town at 0750 the following morning. The return leg will leave the South African city on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday at 1910, arriving back into the UK at 0505 the following day. BA will be the only carrier to offer direct, non-stop services from both Gatwick and Heathrow to Cape Town. The airline is also set to launch new flights from Gatwick to Costa Rica, New York JFK and Lima this year.
