Marriott has opened the latest property under its lifestyle brand Moxy Hotels.
Moxy Munich Airport is located five minutes from the airport by shuttle bus, and features 252 rooms with “deep-seated armchairs”, “spirited floor to ceiling art pieces”, glass shelving and open cupboards, with “bright pink hairdryers” and power showers in the bathrooms.
Technology includes sound-reducing walls, 42-inch TVs and free wifi.
Signature brand features include the Living Room with “abundant power and USB outlets and furiously fast free wifi”, a gym with Moxy pink punching bag, a 24-7 self-service dining concept, and flexible meeting spaces (of which there are nine at the Munich property).
Four other European Moxy hotels are scheduled to open this year in Frankfurt, Berlin, Aberdeen airport and London Royal Docks, with US properties also set to open in Tempe, New Orleans, and Nashville in 2016.
