New co-branded credit card by Asia Miles and Standard Chartered

17 Mar 2016 by Clement Huang
Asia Miles has partnered with Standard Chartered to launch a new credit card in Hong Kong. The Standard Chartered Asia Miles Mastercard is the first Asia Miles co-branded credit card issued in the SAR. Hong Kong residents may be familiar with the American Express Cathay Pacific credit cards, but these are a co-branded product developed in partnership with Cathay Pacific, not Asia Miles specifically. The regular earn rate for the Standard Chartered credit card is one mile for every HK$6 spent, but cardholders who use their card for dining, online and overseas spending enjoy an accelerated rate of one mile for every HK$4 spent. To commemorate the launch, new cardholders who successfully apply for the credit card by June 30 will earn one mile for every HK$0.5 spent during the first two months – up to a maximum of 15,000 miles. Also, those who apply online will receive a one-time bonus of 2,000 miles – add this to a spend of HK$7,500 within two months of receiving the card, and cardholders will receive a total of 17,000 miles.
