Jet Airways and Vistara are competing with each other for low business class tickets, all benefitting the flyer.
Current discounts being offered are up to 40 per cent off the full price and are available on selected routes.
As an example Vistara’s Delhi-Mumbai business class fare is being offered at Rs 17,280 (£182), compared with a full price of Rs 20,541 (£216). The fare is valid for booking and travel until April 15.
A full fare Jet Airways business class ticket on the Delhi-Mumbai route for Rs 41,954 (£442) is priced at Rs 17,153 (£181) until April 17.
These discounts are despite March and April being busy periods for the airline industry.
