WHAT SHOULD ART LOVERS LOOK OUT FOR? Something special: a partnership with San Xuan Arte Place will see this five-star hotel showcase some of the world’s most iconic artwork by Vincent van Gogh from now until February 21. The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou’s executive chef Juraj Kalna has also created a Van Gogh-themed afternoon tea – inspired by distinct elements found in the legendary artist’s work – featuring a mini-palette with four colourful macaroons, sunflower cupcakes and a pigment paste-like cheese tart.

WHAT SHOULD ART LOVERS LOOK OUT FOR? The interior decoration of this design hotel is probably enough in itself to satisfy art lovers, but the property goes one step further, paying tribute to the fine arts by showcasing more than 100 pieces in its guestrooms and public areas. This includes original sculptures and paintings from greats such as Salvador Dali, Pierre Matter, Zhang Guolang, Chen Wen Ling, Andy Warhol, Gao Xiao Wu and Zou Liang.

WHAT SHOULD ART LOVERS LOOK OUT FOR? George Smith has become synonymous with beautifully crafted furniture, with every sofa, chair or stool lovingly made in workshops from the north of England. The London Edition’s guestrooms are home to many of these products, which are complemented by the photographs of Dutch-born Hendrik Kerstens. Well known for using his daughter Paula as his only subject, Kerstens’ photographs address issues of seriality, time and identity. Many of his works have been showcased in galleries around the world.

WHAT SHOULD ART LOVERS LOOK OUT FOR? The Ritz-Carlton Millennia Singapore is home to 4,200 pieces of contemporary art. Guests entering the property for the first time will immediately notice the three-tonne sculpture by Frank Stella hanging from the ceiling of the lobby. Other prominent artists who have their work featured include Andy Warhol, David Hockney, Rainer Gross and Robert Zakanitch. Art lovers are invited to discover the entire collection on display through a self-guided iPod tour.
