Wizzair is to launch a three-times weekly service from Liverpool John Lennon airport to Katowice, Poland from March 29.
The budget carrier will operate the service on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, taking the total number of Wizzair routes from Liverpool to five.
The news follows Wizzair’s announcement earlier this month that it is launching a new route between Liverpool and Budapest from March 27 (see news, January 10).
Wizzair currently serves three locations from Liverpool John Lennon: Riga, Gdansk and Warsaw.
Last year Wizzair announced plans to fly from to Warsaw from Bristol and Aberdeen, with both routes starting in May (see news September 2015).
Regional carrier Flybe has also announced a new route to Liverpool John Lennon, linking it to Cornwall's Newquay airport (see news January 21).
