8 Dec 2015 by GrahamSmith

Air France will add routes from Paris Orly to New York JFK and from Paris Charles De Gaulle to Tehran next year.

The carrier will fly a B777-200 daily on the JFK route and three-times weekly to Tehran (aircraft unconfirmed). Both services start in June.

Flight AF32 will depart Paris Orly at 1100 and arrive in New York at 1310. Return leg AF37 will leave JFK at 1805 and land at Paris Orly at 0705 the next day.

The Tehran service will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Air France last flew to the Iranian capital in 2008.

Flight AF738 will depart Paris CDG at 1030 and arrive in Tehran at 1840. Return leg AF755 will leave Tehran at 0715 and land at Paris CDG at 1055.

Frédéric Gagey, Air France chairman and CEO, said: "With these new route launches, Air France is showing that it is ready to seize all possible profitable development and growth opportunities."

In October, Air France added its latest long-haul cabin products to five extra destinations (see news, October 28).
