Accor Hotels to manage three new properties in Beijing

8 Dec 2015 by Clement Huang

Accor Hotels has announced the signing of three new Beijing properties in partnership with local real-estate developer Luneng Group.

The three projects, two of which are new-build hotels, are scheduled to open in 2017 and 2018 and will add a total of 525 guestrooms to Accor’s network in Greater China.

First on the list is the 75-room Mercure Beijing Luneng, slated to open in Q4 of 2017. Located in the Shunyi district, the hotel will be situated adjacent to a shopping mall and the International School of Beijing. It will feature two restaurants, a lobby lounge and several meeting spaces for corporate functions.

Both the 300-room Pullman Beijing Luneng and the 150-room MGallery Beijing Luneng are set to open for business in Q4 of 2018. The former is also located in the Shunyi district, and will form part of a mixed-used development that consists of residential, retail and office spaces. It will be within walking distance of the Golf Country Club and Olympic Water Park, and just a five-minute drive from the Qiaobo Ski Stadium.

MGallery Beijing Luneng will be situated in the affluent district of Grasse Town, an upscale villa development in Tongzhou. This is just a 15-minute drive from Beijing International Airport, Tongzhou New Town, the Beijing New National Exhibition Centre and the upcoming Universal Studios theme park (scheduled to open in 2019).

“We are very excited to collaborate with Luneng Group, one of the leading real-estate developers in China, for a batch of three projects in the metropolitan city of Beijing,” said Paul Richardson, chief operating officer, Accor Hotels Greater China.

“This unprecedented, strategic partnership in the city involves three distinctive brands that will enable us to better cater to our guests’ needs while further strengthening our presence in the luxury and upscale segment, which continues to be one of the key growth engines for Accor Hotels’ expansion in China.”
