British Airways brings in 'standardised' check-in/bag drop times

4 Dec 2015 by GrahamSmith
British Airways is introducing "standardised" check-in and bag drop closure times at airports. The move means that UK domestic and short-haul passengers have to check-in and drop-off their bags up to 45 minutes before departure. Long-haul passengers must check-in and drop-off their bags up to an hour before departure. London City airport is not included, so passengers can still arrive up to 20 minutes prior to departure. A BA spokesperson said: "We have decided to standarise the check-in closure times for as many of our flights as possible to help enhance our punctuality, which we know is important to customers. "Customers will be able to check their precise check-in and baggage drop times on our Manage My Booking website and they will also be informed by emails in the days before their departure."
