26 Nov 2015 by GrahamSmith

Air Canada Rouge will launch a nonstop seasonal service between Vancouver and Dublin next summer.

The three-times weekly route will operate on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays between June 10 and October 8.

Outbound service AC1940 will depart Vancouver at 1505 and arrive in Dublin at 0835 the next day. Return leg AC1941 will leave Dublin at 1135 and land in Vancouver at 1335.

The carrier will roster a B767-300ER on to the route.

Two months ago, Air Canada Rouge announced it will fly new services from Toronto Pearson airport to Glasgow, Prague, Budapest and Warsaw next summer (see news, September 9).

The subsidiary airline is also launching a summer seasonal service between Toronto and London Gatwick in 2016 (see news, June 26).

Benjamin Smith, Air Canada's president, passenger airlines, said: "This new route is the latest of numerous improvements for customers coming in 2016 including double-daily flights to London Heathrow, three new routes to the United States, new nonstop, year-round flights to Brisbane, and increased capacity on our flights from Vancouver to Sydney, with Boeing 777 aircraft featuring our new international product standard offering a choice of business class, premium economy and economy cabins."
