19 Nov 2015 by Clement Huang

United Airlines has announced new, modern United Club facilities in both Atlanta and San Francisco.

The developments are part of the company’s US$100 million lounge transformation programme, which will also see it renovate and update other United Clubs including New York Newark, Chicago O'Hare, Los Angeles, Fort Lauderdale, Dallas-Fort Worth and Guam in 2016.

Atlanta

The nearly 460sqm Atlanta United Club is now welcoming customers. The facility is located between gates 11 and 12 at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport’s Concourse T, on the mezzanine level.

New United Club design concept

Featuring panoramic views of the airport as well as seating for more than 100 people, the lounge’s modern design also showcases vintage aviation artwork. Visiting customers can choose from a number of complimentary fresh-food choices, including yoghurt and fresh fruit; muffins in rotating flavours of cinnamon and blueberry; sliced red bell peppers in hummus; seasonal soups; and spicy Bloody Mary trail mix.

San Francisco

The 550sqm United Club at San Francisco International Airport also opened its doors on November 8. It is located in the newly renovated Terminal 3 East Concourse, also recently reopened.

The facility will offer a bird’s-eye view of airport operations and feature a gallery of photos of United’s history. With a capacity for 130 customers, the lounge will also offer a complimentary menu of seasonal choices, such as fresh zucchini, yellow squash and cherry tomatoes; butternut squash soup; dressed spinach salad; and a variety of cold cuts and cheese.

There will also be workstations and many power outlets available, while complementary beverages and wifi will be provided.
