V Air announces three new destinations in Japan

Taiwanese low-cost carrier V Air, the franchise subsidiary of Trans Asia Airways, will expand its presence in Japan with the launch of three new routes next month.

From December 15, 2016, the carrier will begin rolling out services from its base in Taipei to Nagoya, Osaka and Fukuoka.

Fares for the Taipei–Nagoya route are available for reservation now, with prices starting at TWD2,250 (US$68). Due to slot constraints, flight ZV202 will initially depart Taipei every Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday at 1945 and arrive in Nagoya at 2345. The return flight ZV203 will depart Nagoya every Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, leaving at 0045 and arriving in Taipei around 0335.

Starting from January 8, the flight schedule will be adjusted to a morning flight, with ZC202 departing Taipei every Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 0605 and arriving in Nagoya at 1005. The return service on ZV203 will then depart Nagoya on the same day at 1105 and touch back down in Taipei at 1345.

Flights between Taipei and Fukuoka will go on sale from tomorrow (November 18), with fares starting at TWD2,650 (US$81). The route will be served daily, and is slated to begin on January 25. Flight ZV212 departs Taipei at 1435 and arrive in Fukuoka at 1800. The return service will leave Fukuoka at 1900 and arrive back in Taipei at 2045.

Finally, fares for the Taipei–Osaka route will also begin on November 18, with prices starting at TWD3,000 (US$91). The daily service, which will launch on January 23, will see flight ZV208 leave Taipei at 0740 and arrive in Osaka at 1130. The return ZV209 flight will take off from Osaka at 1230 and arrive back in Taipei at 1500.
