Rotana Hotels and Resorts will enter India with two properties close to Mumbai International airport.
Omer Kaddouri, the group's president and CEO, told Business Traveller at the World Travel Market that the first opening will be a Centro Apartments property in 2016, followed by Centro by Rotana hotel the next year.
Kaddouri declined to name the developer but said: "The hotel will be just over 200 keys and is with the same developer as the Centro apartments.
"It's a great area for us to open, as you know there's the JW Marriott there, and it will be the start of a big push for us in India, I am sure."
Burgo Arjaan, Rotana, Istanbul
He added: "We are signing hotels around the world, and this year we should have a record year for signings with 15 hotels or more signed, including hotels in Africa – we signed Lagos and Luanda this year.
"In terms of openings, in July we opened two properties in the Maltepe district on the Asian side of Istanbul, the Burgu Arjaan by Rotana and Tango Arjaan by Rotana, and we have another three hotels opening by the end of the year and another 13 or 14 next year."

Capital Centre Arjaan by Rotana, Abu Dhabi
Capital Centre Arjaan by Rotana is Rotana's 14th property in Abu Dhabi.
Part of the group's Arjaan Hotel Apartments brand, it will feature 259 studio rooms and suites, two dining outlets, and recreation and fitness facilities including a swimming pool. It is located 20 minutes from Abu Dhabi International airport in the Capital Centre development.
Dalga Residences by Rotana, Istanbul, Turkey – Opening Q4 2015
Dalga Residences by Rotana is the first property to open under the group's Residences brand in Turkey.
There will be 138 rooms and suites, ranging from studios to three-bedroom apartments, each with their own kitchen and access to 24-hour maintenance, 24-hour security team and complimentary housekeeping.
City Centre Rotana, Doha, Qatar – Opening Q4, 2015
Rotana's second property in Qatar's capital, the City Centre Rotana Doha is a 400-room property with rooms and suites, as well as meetings and banqueting facilities, Bodylines wellness and fitness centre and a collection of restaurants.
It is in the newly-developed West Bay.
Downtown Rotana, Manama, Bahrain – Opening Q4 2015
Alongside Majestic Arjaan by Rotana and the recently opened ART Rotana, Downtown Rotana will be the third property managed by Rotana in Manama, Bahrain.
The impressive five-star hotel will offer 248 rooms, as well as a number of high-level furnished apartments, suites and entertainment facilities.
Guests will have a choice of four dining outlets, each with their own signature cuisine.
Rosh Rayhaan, Riyadh – Opening Q1 2016
Located on Olaya Street, in the heart of Riyadh, Rosh Rayhaan by Rotana is a short drive from Riyadh Airport. It has 236 rooms and suites, a business centre, fitness facilities and a choice of four dining outlets including a specialty restaurant.
Centro Shaheen, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia – Opening Q1 2016
Set in the heart of Jeddah, Centro Shaheen features 252 rooms and studios in addition to a Bodylines wellness and fitness centre, an outdoor swimming pool, treatment rooms, sauna and steam rooms.
