ANA to increase frequency of Shanghai flights

15 Oct 2015 by Clement Huang

All Nippon Airways (ANA) will increase the frequency of its flights between Tokyo Haneda and Shanghai.

The Japanese carrier currently operates a single return daily flight between the two destinations, which will double from October 25 as part of the adjustment to its winter timetable.

Due to positive demand ANA has now decided to introduce a third return flight, which will launch on February 1, 2016 – prior to the busy Chinese New Year travel period.

The new timetable offers passengers an expanded range of choices. The current flight departing Haneda in the morning will be joined, from October onwards, by a flight taking off from Tokyo airport in the evening. Then later next year, a night departure will be added as well.

The new added frequency, flight NH976 will depart Haneda at 2200 and arrive in Shanghai Pudong at 0035 the following day. Following a brief stopover, the return service on flight NH968 will take off from Shanghai at 0145 and touch back down in Tokyo at 0525.

Flights will be operated by a B777-200, which ANA has outfitted with a two-class configuration. It features 70 seats in business and 153 in economy.
