22 Sep 2015 by GrahamSmith

KLM has postponed its inaugural B787-9 service until November 16.

The Dutch airline will still debut the Dreamliner on its daily Amsterdam-Abu Dhabi-Bahrain route.

It had planned to do this at the start of the winter season on October 25, reports airlineroute.net.

Outbound service KL437 will depart Amsterdam at 1040, arrive in Abu Dhabi at 2010, take-off again at 2110 and land in Bahrain at 2120.

Return service KL438 will depart Bahrain at 2230, arrive in Abu Dhabi at 0040 the next day, take-off again at 0145 and land in Amsterdam at 0600.

KLM will install its new fully-flat World Business Class seats on to the B787-9 (see news, July 27).

Last month, the carrier ordered six B787-10s to replace six of the 21 B787-9s it has on order with Boeing (see news, August 22).
