Thai Air Asia X, the joint venture of Malaysia’s long-haul low-cost carrier Air Asia X, is seeking to launch flights to Shanghai later this month.
According to airlineroute, the proposed daily service between Bangkok Don Mueang and Shanghai Pudong will commence on September 28, subject to regulatory approval.
As expected from a low-cost carrier, the single daily service will be a red eye flight out of Don Mueang. Flight XJ760 will depart Bangkok at 0015 and arrive in Shanghai at 0530. The return service sees flight XJ761 take off from Shanghai at 0650 and arrive back in Don Mueng at 1015.
Both flights arrive in their respective destinations in the morning, thus guaranteeing travellers a full day in both Bangkok and Shanghai. Flights will be operated by the A330-300, which features a two-class configuration with 12 seats in business and 365 in economy.
