Frasers Hospitality has acquired a serviced residential property in Dalian, one of China’s top ten fastest growing cities, for RMB481.37 million (US$75.15m).

Located in the heart of the Donggang CBD, the property is within walking distance of Dalian Port and Davos Conference Centre, and is part of Dalian Europark – a mixed-use development comprising a shopping mall, designer offices and luxury residential apartments.

The 259-unit Fraser Suites Dalian is scheduled to open in 2017 and will be designed by Hirsch Bedner Associates. From studios to three-bedroom apartments, the overall look will be luxurious and contemporary. The property will offer facilities such as a gym, swimming pool, and conference and meeting spaces.

Frasers Hospitality first entered the Chinese market in 2004 with the Fraser Place Shekou Shenzhen. It currently has 14 serviced residences in China’s first and second tier cities, including: Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Suzhou, Tianjin, Wuxi and Wuhan.

The Dalian property is one of 16 new properties in the pipeline, as Frasers Hospitality plans to double its presence in China within the next three to four years.

Globally, Frasers Hospitality has 129 current or soon-to-launch properties spanning 77 cities in Europe, Africa, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.
