23 Jun 2015 by GrahamSmith

Norwegian will double its flights between Gothenburg and London Gatwick this winter.

The low-cost carrier currently operates six weekly services, once-daily except for on Saturdays, between the two cities.

From October 25, this will increase to a 12-weekly operation, with two flights each day except for on Saturdays.

From Monday to Friday, the outbound services will depart Gothenburg at 0725 and 1810 and arrive at Gatwick at 0825 and 1910 respectively. The return services will leave LGW at 0855 and 1940, landing in Gothenburg at 1145 and 2230.

On Sundays, the outbound flights will depart Gothenburg at 0815 and 1910, arriving in London at 0915 and 2010 respectively. The return services will leave Gatwick at 0945 and 2040, landing in Gothenburg at 1235 and 2330.

The additional flights will be operated by new, 186-seater B737-800 aircraft with free wifi.

Thomas Ramdahl, Norwegian's commercial director, said: "We are pleased to offer additional departures to Gothenburg with all the benefits of our low fares, quality service and free wifi so you can stay in touch, on the go."

Norwegian will start a daily B787 service between London Gatwick and New York on October 25 (see news, March 30).
