Members of Air Berlin's Topbonus loyalty scheme can now earn and redeem award miles when flying with Jet Airways.
Under the agreement, Topbonus members can also take advantage of benefits enjoyed by Jet Privilege members, including extra baggage allowance, priority check-in, lounge access and pre-boarding. The deal is reciprocal so Privlege members can earn and burn when flying with Air Berlin.
And, until August 15, Topbonus members will receive double miles on all flights with the Indian airline.
The carriers' existing codeshare agreement allows Jet Airways to offer Air Berlin-operated flights from Berlin and Dusseldorf to/from Abu Dhabi. Jet Airways connects ten Indian cities with the Gulf hub.
In April, Air Berlin announced it will status match other airlines' frequent flyer programmes when members join its Topbonus scheme (see news, April 3).
