Qatar Airways has announced it will reduce the number of A380 services into Paris to allow the airline to double its superjumbo service to Bangkok.
The Gulf carrier said it will be replacing one of its two A380s serving the Doha–Paris route with a smaller A330-300. The A380 will be used to serve the Doha–Bangkok route instead.
A380 first class
With effect from September 16, flights QR41 and QR42 will be operated by the A330, which features the same three-class configuration as the superjumbo.
However, overall capacity is reduced with the A330 offering 12 seats in first class, 24 in business and 225 in economy. This compares to the eight suites in first class, 48 seats in business and 461 in economy on the A380.
Business class
Flights QR830 and QR831 to and from Bangkok will be A380-operated, according to the airline. This will complement the existing single A380 service to the Thai capital with flight QR836/QR833.
