Jet Airways has entered into a codeshare agreement with Bangkok Airways.
Under the reciprocal arrangement, both Jet Airways and the Thai carrier will place their marketing codes on eachothers flights between Mumbai and Bangkok.
“Established as the second largest economy in Southeast Asia, Thailand has seen exponential growth in trade and tourism, attracting travellers from across the world including India,” said Raj Sivakumar, chief commercial officer, Jet Airways.
“These codeshare flights will offer wider and more convenient travel options to our esteemed guests travelling between India and Bangkok for business and leisure”.
Jet Airways currently operates three daily frequencies between Mumbai and Bangkok. The Indian carrier also flies once daily between Delhi and Bangkok before connecting onwards to Ho Chi Minh.
In other news, Jet Airways has also unveiled new amenity kits by luxury Swiss brand Chopard. The new kits are now available for first and Premiere guests on select international flights.
Within each Chopard branded kit is a variety of cosmetic and comfort items, including hand cream, lip balm, hairbrush, eye mask and cabin socks. The first class kit has the added advantage of being able to double as an after-use tablet case – not too dissimilar to that offer by Jetstar (see here).
“Introduction of the Chopard luxury personal products reinforces our focus on elevating the overall inflight experience by keeping our guests refreshed, relaxed and recharged throughout their journey,” said Gaurang Shetty, senior vice president, commercial, Jet Airways.
