Silk Air has launched a new uniform design for its 500-strong cabin crew.
Staff working for the Singapore Airlines subsidiary will start wearing the uniform from April 15.
Designed by Singaporean Alexandria Chen, the one-piece uniform comes in two variations — aqua-blue for the junior crew and plum-red for the senior crew, with both accompanied by a dark blue skirt.
Chen said: "The new Silk Air uniform is stylishly cut and fitted with a defined waistline which makes it easy to wear, flexible and comfortable, allowing cabin crew the ease of movement as they carry out their duties."
Unveiling ceremony
The latest uniform design marks the fourth time that Silk Air has changed its work attire over its 26-year history, and the first change in 11 years.
Earlier this year, Singapore Airlines' Krisflyer loyalty programme has partnered with Vistara's Club Vistara, a move that allows accrual and redemption opportunities with Silk Air (see news, February 5).
