Best Western International has launched a new hotel in Yangon’s vibrant Chinatown area.
The bustling downtown district, boasts proximity to many of the city’s popular attractions, including Scott Market and FMI Centre.
All 91 guestrooms feature amenities such as flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, minibars, tea and coffee making facilities and bathrooms with separate showers and bathtubs. Furthermore, as is standard across all Best Western properties around the world, wifi is complimentary too.
Facilities include an all-day dining restaurant, a bar, fitness centre and business centre, plus three function rooms that are able to host a variety of meeting events.
“International visitor arrivals to the country are increasing exponentially, and as Myanmar’s largest city and economic hub, Yangon is at the very heart of this growth,” said Ron Pohl, Best Western International’s senior vice president of brand management & member services.
“The launch of this exciting hotel will provide travellers with another modern, international accommodation option in the heart of the city’s vibrant Chinatown district”.
Myanmar’s growth as a travel destination follows economic and political reforms in 2011, which opened up the country to foreign investment and tourism. Many international hotel groups have since set up new properties across the country.
