Qantas adds more brands to Online Mall

Qantas has added four new department stores, seven fashion retailers and two electronic outlets to its Online Mall.

As previously reported by Business Traveller Asia-Pacific (see here), the Flying Kangaroo launched Qantas Online Mall last year, which it stocks with premium global brands including Apple, eBay, David Jones and Macy’s.

The portal, accessible via qantaspoints.com allows Qantas’ Frequent Flyer members to earn points at preferential rates when they shop online at any of the 29 well-known retailers.

The new brands that are coming online this month include Saks Fifth Avenue, Marks & Spencer, Bloomingdales, Bonds, SABA, Samsung and Appliances Online.

“The Online Mall is proving popular partly because many members are earning Qantas Points for purchases they were going to make anyway, plus they’re saving time by not having to go in store,” said Qantas Loyalty chief executive, Lesley Grant.

“We’ve also got a unique offering - thanks to overseas brands including America’s J Crew and Macy’s, and the UK’s Selfridges - because these are brands that don’t have a physical retail presence in Australia.”
