Jetstar introduces Price Watch

19 Jan 2015 by Clement Huang

Low-cost carrier (LCC) Jetstar has incorporated a new booking tool into its website, designed to let travellers know when flight prices drop to, or below, their ideal price.

Known as “Price Watch”, this email alert service is sent to registered parties on a weekly basis, providing them with updates on fare prices.

“Flight prices can quickly change with time, and from now on you can let us do the hard work for you,” says Chantal van Wijnbergen, regional manager marketing & PR, Southeast Asia. “Activating Price Watch alerts could save you money on flight prices on your chosen route, so you’ll be able to travel more or spend more at your destination".

So how does Price Watch work? Well, customers can visit the official Jetstar website (linked below), and search for flights they're interested in. They then simply click on the “Watch prices” button at the top of the page, and key in their desired price, email address and the number of passengers travelling.

Users can also include their intended travel dates.

After entering all required information, travellers simply select “Watch prices” for the alert to be activated.
