Scoot postpones B787-9 debut again

11 Dec 2014 by GrahamSmith

Scoot has postponed its inaugural Boeing 787-9 services for a second time.

The airline will now roster the Dreamliner onto its Hong Kong and Perth routes on February 1, reports airlineroute.net.

The Singapore Airlines budget subsidiary had originally planned to debut its stretched Dreamliner on January 1.

But this was last month delayed until mid-January and has now been put back until the start of February.

Scoot's B787-9s will each accommodate up to 375 passengers, in what is the densest Dreamliner layout to date (see news, February 10).

The aircraft is configured in two classes, with 35 premium economy seats in a 2-3-2 layout and 340 slim-line economy seats configured 3-3-3.
