Cityjet is axing its Cardiff to Glasgow route only nine months after launching the service.
The airline began operating three daily flights between the two cities in January (see news, January 8). This service will end on October 25.
On the same date, it will also cut the number of daily flights on its Cardiff to Edinburgh route from three to two.
The news comes two weeks after Cityjet announced it will cancel flights to/from Cambridge International airport at the end of this month (see news, September 30). That route launched in May.
Patrick Lukan, chief commercial officer at Cityjet, said: "Route changes such as Glasgow to Cardiff are all part of the process an airline goes through and networks are constantly evolving.
"We will maintain connections between Scotland and Wales via our [Cardiff to] Edinburgh route."
