Vietjet expands international routes

28 Jul 2014 by Tamsin Cocks

Vietjet has launched daily flights to Seoul, South Korea from both Hanoi and Da Nang.

Flight VJ8976 will depart Noi Bai International Airport, Hanoi at 0145 and arrive in Seoul four hours later at 0755 local time, while Flight VJ8736 from Da Nang International Airport departs at 0200 arriving at 0800.

Both return flights are scheduled to depart from Incheon International Airport at 1105 daily.

This marks the airline’s first foray into the Korean market, which will help to meet the growing demand for leisure and business travel between the two countries.

The two new routes are operated by the airline's 180-seat A320s, offering a total capacity of 5,040 seats per week.

These flights are the latest addition to Vietjet’s list of international destinations, which include Singapore (see here) and Thailand.

The carrier currently operates 27 local and international routes, with plans to expand further within the Asia-Pacific region.
