HAMAD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

OPENED June 22, 2014

DINING There are over 30 cafes and restaurants offering global and regional cuisine, with some outlets operating a 24-hour service. Highlights include organic South America espresso at Jamocha Café; international cuisine at Marché; premium ice cream and cakes at Farggi; and caviar at Caviar House and Prunier.

RECOMMEND Consider visiting Caviar House and Prunier – the only restaurant in the world that produces its own caviar and salmon. Everything is freshly prepared infront of customers, thereby accentuating the overall dining experience.

HEATHROW TERMINAL 2

NAME The Perfectionists’ Café

OPENED June 4, 2014

DINING As the new restaurant of Heston Blumenthal, The Perfectionists’ Café showcases some of the Michelin Star chef’s trademark techniques, including the use of liquid nitrogen to make fresh ice cream (which Blumenthal pioneered in the late nineties). The restaurant also offers a selection of popular dishes in the UK.

RECOMMEND Try the Neapolitan style pizzas. The Perfectionists’ Café is home to Heathrow’s first wood-burning oven where pizzas can be cooked at the optimal temperatures. According to regulations, the true Neapolitan pizza is cooked at a high enough temperature to allow the base to cook at speed whilst ensuring that the toppings don't get hotter than 60°C.

HARTSFIELD-JACKSON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

OPENED June 24, 2014

DINING Having reopened after extensive renovations, the restaurants at Concourse D’s mega-food court are no longer constrained by the narrowness of the terminal. Instead, the space now extends over two levels and offers about 15 new dining outlets. Highlights include 40/40 Club – a bar concept by music performer Jay-Z, and Grindhouse Killer Burgers.

RECOMMEND For a true taste of America, try out one of the traditional chicken recipes at Buffalo Wild Wings. Combine this with a choice of 16 signature sauces and five seasonings – there’s something for everyone! For those who prefer a healthier gourmet option, Wolfgang Puck Fresh Express is the way to go.
